Louis Vuitton And Lucien Clarke Release ‘A-PRE-VIEW’ Skate Video
So, the LV x Palace Skateboards collab is coming next, right?
Virgil Abloh strengthens his idea of infusing the highest luxury elements into the raw skateboard culture after announcing an exclusive skate video release. The Off-White's CEO and Louis Vuitton’s menswear director shared a sneak peek of the upcoming videotape on his socials yesterday, starring a Jamaican-born and London-based skateboarder and photographer Lucien Clarke.
The one-and-a-half-minute intro clip, which shows Clarke skating in the signature sneakers on several London locations, is a preview of the unreleased video capturing the two-year process behind the LV x Clarke’s ‘A View’ Skate Silhouette.
Created from the finest Italian materials, the pro-models came in three colorways as a part of the Pre-Spring 2021 collection back in December 2020, making a big boom in luxurious fashion as they are the first-ever skate footwear in Louis Vuitton's 166-year history.
However, the groundbreaking shoe collection is not the only exciting part of the whole project. At the beginning of the video, Clarke is seen holding what looks like a Louis Vuitton x Palace Skateboards skate deck, similar to the monogrammed one that was captured on the skateboarder’s socials in mid-March. Although the rumors have been going around since the announcement of ‘A View, the collab has not been confirmed yet. Lucien Clarke is officially signed under the Palace Skateboards which gives us a big hope for the brands working together in the future.
A limited number of DVDs with the video will be produced exclusively for family members and friends, but is also expected to arrive in full-length online very soon. Check out the teaser right below:
