Enter A New Shopping Experience With London College Of Fashion’S 2016 Grad Show

POSTED BY DANIJEL VUKOJA

When a shopper enjoys a great shopping experience, store loyalty increases dramatically. And when a fashion writer sees a great fashion collection during any kind of fashion show (from fashion week to a regular grad show), the urge to communicate it to the world increases dramatically, too.

Wei Yao Lin and Cheng Qian’s menswear collection, shown during London College of Fashion’s grad show, was based on takeaway food culture and the ideas of monitoring and controlling in today’s society. The collection features spongy boxes and knitwear with bold motifs based on graphic food packaging, slogans like “Eat You Up”, “Yum” and “Thanks For Having Me”. The pink “Yum” sweater is making knitwear dreams come true. With bar codes and brown paper bags being layered over simple and basically typical office wear, the two designers are creating a new shopping experience.
