Everyone and their mother has heard about the importance of owning a Little Black Dress. It's simple, classy, and looks good on everyone. While I can appreciate its timeless appeal, I can't help but feel a little... tired of it.

Every time I go to a fancy bar or nice restaurant, half the people I see are wearing one. As much as I respect a look that embodies quiet luxury, that's never really been my thing. I like to stand out. I like to make an entrance.

Which is why my new favorite wardrobe staple is the Little Red Dress.

I mean, seriously—red has all the same sultry Hollywood glamour while putting the wearer center stage. It might seem less rewearable because it's more of a statement piece, but I'd argue it can simply become one of your signatures. After all, isn't personal style about being remembered?

That was exactly what happened when I debuted my new little red dress from Revolve. I felt so confident that I've ended up wearing it to almost every dressy occasion since. Whenever I'm deciding what to wear for an evening out, I reach for it without even thinking.

The best part is that a little red dress doesn't need much styling. Gold jewelry, a pair of heels, and a classic clutch are enough to let the color do all the talking. It's bold, timeless, and somehow always manages to make me feel like the best-dressed person in the room.

Maybe it's time we gave the Little Red Dress the same iconic status as the Little Black Dress.
