For those of you that are just as confused as we were, Gaga will re-release her album this time leaving out the collaboration with R. Kelly on ‘Do What You Want (With My Body.) The decision was made after the American singer-songwriter, R.Kelly, known for 2003 big hit ‘Ignition’, was accused of 13 federal sex trafficking charges.

Gaga is said to have recorded the song in a time when she was looking to rebel and present to the World how she was feeling. However, since releasing the album in 2013, Gaga has confessed in interviews “If I could go back and have a talk with my younger self I’d tell her to go through the therapy I have since then, so that I could understand the confused post-traumatic state that I was in.”

The Italian born singer has shown her support for the victims in true Gaga style by taking it just that step further. In a statement made on January 10th, the singer/actress described R. Kelly’s actions as “horrifying and indefensible”. She has now removed all evidence of her work with R. Kelly by deleting the track she shared with him from all streaming sites. That’s the kind of Diva Female Empowerment we love!

Whilst we await R. Kelly’s trial, we’ve learned Gaga is a force not to be reckoned with. Go show Gaga your support by pre-ordering the album here.
