Gagging For Gaga In Gucci
First look at Ridley Scott’s ‘House of Gucci’.
Following the success of her "A Star is Born" world takeover, Lady Gaga is prepping to take over the silver screen once again in Ridley Scott’s "House of Gucci."
Gaga posted an official picture of her and new on-screen-hubby, Adam Driver, to her Instagram on Tuesday—aka "Signore e Signora Gucci." Arguably the hottest couple pic on the internet, the shot envisions an Italian Alpine dream. Behind the pair are the snowy mountains of Italy and Gaga’s fur headband and Driver’s cable knit make them look like high-fashion extras in Wham!’s "Last Christmas."
However, this based-on-a-true-story feature shines a light on a darker side to the fashion world. Gaga is Patrizia Reggiani, ex-wife of Gucci fashion-house heir, Maurizio Gucci who is played by Driver. "House of Gucci" plays out the 1995 murder of Gucci and the subsequent trial and conviction of Reggiani. Reggiani is accused of hiring a hitman to take care of her ex—a crime for which she is given a 29-year prison sentence. Talk about bad blood between exes.

The Ridley Scott Italian adventure also stars Al Pacino as Aldo Gucci, Jared Leto as Paolo Gucci, Jeremy Irons as Rodolfo Gucci and Camille Cottin as Paola Franchi. The script, written by Roberto Bentivegna, is based on the book "House of Gucci" by Sara Gay Forden.
Expected for a November 24th release date, the film is Gaga’s first since ‘A Star is Born’ and will be widely anticipated after her previous Oscar nudge. Watch it for the murder-plotline, book it for the fashion-house aesthetics, or just to see Driver in a cable knit—"House of Gucci" really caters to all needs.
