On February 27th, London’s vibrant music scene welcomed another unforgettable night curated by Korak Events, a platform dedicated to bringing artists and audiences closer through the power of storytelling. Held at Burnt Faith, the UK’s first brandy house, the event blended intimate performances with candid artist conversations, creating a space where music was more than sound—it was a shared experience.

Founded by Julian John, a passionate storyteller and music promoter, Korak Events was born out of frustration with conventional showcases where artists often fade into the background. Instead, Korak puts the spotlight on the creative journey, ensuring that every note played and every lyric sung carries meaning. “At Korak, it's about more than just music—it’s about the journey behind it,” Julian shares. With a live event series and podcast, Korak champions emerging talent and their stories, fostering deeper connections between performers and audiences.

The February 27th show featured three outstanding artists: Elfi, Saxon, and Official Shannon, each backed by the electrifying live band, The Backliners (Gideon Tarry, Sonny Waite, and David Ostasuc). The night unfolded like a musical odyssey, with each performance bringing something unique to the stage.

Elfi captivated the room with her hauntingly beautiful vocals, performing her song Scorpio Rising. Saxon followed with a performance that felt like sung poetry, his smooth, deep vocals weaving effortlessly through English and French lyrics—an unexpected twist that thrilled the crowd. Closing the night, Official Shannon brought unmatched energy, performing Dress to Please, a song celebrating personal style and self-expression, free from societal judgment.

What set this event apart wasn’t just the music but the format. Between sets, the artists engaged in conversations about their inspirations, their songwriting processes, and the highs and lows of their artistic journeys. This intimate dialogue transformed the performances into immersive experiences, allowing the audience to see the heart and soul behind the music.

Since its inception in March 2024, Korak has hosted five shows featuring rising stars like Farah T, Phoenix Rose, and Ivanmore. Looking ahead, Julian is set to expand Korak’s impact with upcoming events scheduled for April 17th and June 26th. As the platform continues to grow, one thing remains clear—Korak is not just an event series; it’s a movement redefining how we experience live music.

For those craving an evening of soulful sounds, raw storytelling, and meaningful connections, Korak Events is a must-attend. With Julian at the helm, the future of live music feels more intimate, authentic, and inspiring than ever.
