Kim Shui Keeps It Personal With Her SS21 Collection Reveal

Let’s get digital

In light of the current pandemic, brands have turned to display their work digitally rather than the usual live runway show that we’re all used to seeing. With the approval of New York governor Andrew Cuomo New York Fashion Week was good to go but would need to implicate safety precautions.

You’ll often find some of your fave celebrities attending the hottest fashion shows, and Kim Shui’s runway shows are no stranger to that. Some of Kim Shui’s clients include Halsey, Kali Uchis, and Kylie Jenner. But for her digital show, she decided to make it more intimate. Designer Kim Shui had her collection unveiled by dressing her friends and supporters, muses, and models. Her SS21 was shot documentary-style in the city that never sleeps. Shui pays homage to the women who inspire her and these women deal with real problems just as we all do.

You may be used to seeing strappy crop tops, bodycon dresses, and fun animal prints from Shui but her new digital presentation gave her SS21 collection a new meaning. Styled by Kyle Luu and shot by Mitchell Connel the collection does not disappoint.
