Florals? For Fall? Actually Groundbreaking
Tory Burch’s Fall/Winter 2020 collection combines style and personality for the ultimate modern closet.
Dubbed the January of the fashion world, September is the perfect month for a wardrobe refresh and responsible buying is as important as ever. With this in mind, we’re looking for investable, wearable pieces that we can pull out year after year. Enter Tory Burch. Back in February, Tory Burch’s Fall/Winter 2020 Collection made its runway debut at New York Fashion Week, and we’ve been counting down the days to the cooler months ever since.
The collection draws inspiration from Manhattan-based ceramicist Francesca DiMattio who designed the statement floral prints for the collection in collaboration with Burch. The designer claims that DiMattio’s artwork “imbues the decorative with strength and power,” giving traditional femininity a modern twist. The collection reflects the multidimensional nature of the modern closet and highlights a sartorial shift toward mixing feminine elements with traditionally masculine silhouettes.
Structured tailored pieces are splashed in floral prints, a silk dress is teamed with a boxy leather jacket, while floaty skirts are paired with heavy-duty leather boots; highlighting Burch’s personality-driven-approach to modern dressing. You can shop the collection here.
