Kanye West raised money for the family of late DMX after launching the Yeezy X Balenciaga homage T-shirt. The long-sleeved tee, designed by the Paris-based label under the commission of West’s brand Yeezy, sold out within 24 hours and has reportedly earned more than $1million for the ‘Party Up’ rapper’s family.

The unembellished honor-paying design features Christ-like DMX in front with his name under the portrait, having his birth and death dates printed on the sleeves alongside ‘In Loving Memory.’ on the back.

In addition to the tribute shirt, Ye sang his last goodbye to the rap star during the Sunday Service this weekend. With friends and family, the 43-year-old rapper applauded and cheered DMX’s memory while performing with his gospel choir on an eye-catching stage at the Barclays Centre in Brooklyn on Saturday. Before the service, a monster truck with ‘Long Life DMX’ painted on its side carried the rapper’s casket to the Centre.

Others have recently joined West in paying the tribute on their own – the Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill was seen riding out his bike in NYC as well as Oscars showing X in their Memoriam yesterday.

Earl Simmons, known more by his stage name DMX, has died at the age of 50 on April 9th after suffering from a heart attack. The rapper, who had been hospitalized in a critical state due to a reported overdose on April 3rd, remained on life support for his last days at White Plains in New York.
