Kanye West Pays $1million Tribute To DMX
And dedicates the Sunday Service to his memory.
Kanye West raised money for the family of late DMX after launching the Yeezy X Balenciaga homage T-shirt. The long-sleeved tee, designed by the Paris-based label under the commission of West’s brand Yeezy, sold out within 24 hours and has reportedly earned more than $1million for the ‘Party Up’ rapper’s family.
The unembellished honor-paying design features Christ-like DMX in front with his name under the portrait, having his birth and death dates printed on the sleeves alongside ‘In Loving Memory.’ on the back.

In addition to the tribute shirt, Ye sang his last goodbye to the rap star during the Sunday Service this weekend. With friends and family, the 43-year-old rapper applauded and cheered DMX’s memory while performing with his gospel choir on an eye-catching stage at the Barclays Centre in Brooklyn on Saturday. Before the service, a monster truck with ‘Long Life DMX’ painted on its side carried the rapper’s casket to the Centre.
