Kanye West Drops Graphic-Heavy ‘Jesus Is King’ Merch
How to make a (religious) statement 101.
Shortly after releasing his ninth studio album ‘Jesus Is King’, controversial rapper-slash-designer Kanye West has dropped an eponymous apparel line. The merch, which was designed by A$AP Rocky’s creative agency AWGE, is a direct reflection of West’s religious commitment, with one hat even directly referring to one of the rapper’s most-talked about traditions: the Sunday Service.
The color palette is predominantly held in black, white and royal blue, with the exception of a sunflower yellow ‘IF YE CAN, WE CAN’ hoodie, a bright violet T-Shirt and some cream statement socks.
The overall look of the collection is very graphic-heavy, with Jesus Christ himself making multiple appearances on crewnecks, joggers, shorts and much more. The religious agenda further shines through different cross variations and other religious statues in bold prints.
Prices range from $40 for the previously mentioned hats up to $260 for a statement hoodie.
