Jimmy Choo Releases Sailor Moon-Inspired Collection

Naoko Takeuchi’s well-known manga Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon is celebrating its 30th anniversary, and Jimmy Choo has joined in on the excitement. Creative director Sandra Choi has teamed up with Takeuchi to create a collection inspired by female empowerment. 

Sailor Moon is one of the most popular shojo manga series (comics aimed for teen girls and young women), and has become a pop culture phenomenon with a strong influence on fashion thanks to its stylish characters. This capsule collection celebrates the manga’s influence with footwear and accessories modeled after key characters such as Sailor Moon, Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, and Sailor Moon’s cat, Luna. 

Shoe styles include knee-high pink boots embellished with Swarovski crystals for Sailor Moon, red patent pumps for Sailor Mars, chunky green combat boots for Sailor Jupiter, blue platform ankle boots for Sailor Mercury, and studded orange platform heels for Sailor Venus. Memorable moments from the manga are also used to decorate bags and sneakers.

The Jimmy Choo x Sailor Moon collection will be available on Jimmy Choo’s website starting February 14.
