Jimmy Choo and Timberland Partner for NYC-Inspired Capsule Collection

The brands partnered with a local creative to design exciting new boots.

POSTED BY KASEY O'CONNELL

Jimmy Choo and Timberland have joined forces once again for an exclusive new capsule collection. The two brands first partnered in 2020, when they released a crystallized version of the Timberland work boot.

The Original Yellow Boot is synonymous with New York, taking inspiration from its ’90s hip-hop style. Jimmy Choo’s creative director Sandra Choi hoped to reimagine this classic style with the goal of celebrating NYC’s vibrant and creative community. She teamed up with Bronx-born designer Shanel Campbell and shot campaign photos on an NYC rooftop. Campbell was introduced to Timberland and Jimmy Choo through Harlem’s Fashion Row, a New York-based agency focused on championing Black and Latinx creatives.

The capsule consists of seven styles across men’s and women’s, including two hot pink velvet boots with transparent soles, two nubuck boots with a graffiti-inspired Jimmy Choo logo, black boots with a Swarovski crystal-embellished collar, and a thigh-high black leather harness boot that can be easily transformed into a classic six-inch style. The final piece in the collection is a heeled version of the six-inch boot entirely embellished with Swarovski crystals. The collection is available globally from Jimmy Choo and Timberland as well as select premium retailers.
