J. Hannah x The MET Nail Polish Collaboration
Surrealism, from the gallery walls straight to your nails!
J. Hannah collaborates with the Metropolitan Museum of Art for a second time to create a nail polish trio inspired by the museum's 'Surrealism Beyond Borders' exhibition.
The pack suggestively named 'Surrealist' is comprised of three totally different shades which explore Surrealist 'iconic and symbolic motifs through pigment and palette.' The trio includes a bright red 'Carmelian', a 'Prim' baby blue and 'Enigma', an olive/avocado green as baffling as its name. The peculiar color combination is characteristic of Surrealist art, the set being described by the brand as 'an intentional nod toward Surrealism's use of pointedly vivid colors in shades at once striking and oddly nostalgic; a familiarity that defies easy association.'
You can get the nail polish trio online for $54, and if you want to see more of the inspiration behind the set, the MET 's 'Surrealism Beyond Borders' exhibition will stay open until the end of January 2022.
