Instagram Is Set To Launch An App Aimed Towards Children
Social media giant plans to develop an app for children under 13.
A child-safe version of the Instagram app is said to be launching in the future, as it stands children under the age of 13 are not allowed to create an account on the platform.
An employee from Facebook explained that they are in plans to develop a parent-controlled version in order for children to keep up with their friends and interests.
The social networking company also share their future plans to upgrade their safety features, one of which prevents adults from messaging people under the ages of 18 in a bid to make it more difficult for adults to find and follow younger users on the platform.
