Instagram May Be Getting Its Own Direct Messaging App
Slide into those DMs even easier.
Because Instagram's current direct messaging feature leaves a lot to be desired, the social media network is rumored to be setting up its own individual messaging app. The app will merge the best features of Facebook Messenger and Snapchat, so that as well as traditional messages, users will also be able to send pictures with drawings and writing.
Instagram is currently testing out the app in Chile, Israel, Portugal, Turkey and Uruguay and is yet to announce plans for its global release. Stay tuned for further updates!
