R&B Star Immi Dash Releases New Single "Final Scene"
Get a glimpse into her highly anticipated EP.
Rising R&B newcomer Immi Dash introduces her forthcoming debut EP with the poignant, heartfelt “Final Scene” – her latest single under Onatura.
Across lush strings (performed live by Harry Fausing Smith) and a smooth, crossover beat textured with vinyl scratches and R&B-jazz flavors, “Final Scene” theatrically captures the moment of closing the curtain on an unhealthy situation – delivered in what is shaping up to be a characteristically confessional lyrical style for the burgeoning, tastemaker-approved Immi Dash.
With production on “Final Scene” helmed by Cal Lewis (who Dash also worked with on the previous single “Cold Heart”) and mixing trusted to the buzzy engineer Sam Interface, Dash once again proves her ability to cultivate a team of industry experts, working with them to bring her aural visions to life.
Immi Dash made the following statement about “Final Scene”: “This song represents how I can ignore problems because it’s easier to pretend they aren’t there. It was produced and co-written by Cal Lewis and the result feels like an honest conversation with myself. I hope the live strings leave the audience feeling reflective and nostalgic.”
Retaining the soulful vibes of Dash’s previous work, “Final Scene” comes off the back of her well-received April release “Cold Heart”, which saw the Liverpool-based vocalist’s profile boosted through international media.
Credibly introducing herself to a tastemaker crowd, the young talent has been making a name for herself since sharing her 2022 gems “Show Me” and “You Ain’t Good”, the latter of which led to Dash being hailed as one of Reflector Magazine’s ‘Ones to Watch for 2023’.
Now translating her online hype into tangible real-world moments, April saw Dash excitingly land the opening slot for legendary hip hop dons Slum Village on their recent UK tour; Dash also played a crowd-pleasing set at Liverpool’s 2ube Xtra at the Paul McCartney Auditorium.
Born in Scotland to British and Trinidadian parents but raised in the US, Dash’s international background introduced her to a wealth of material. With those early influences helping to shape her direction, while providing her with insights into a variety of music cultures, Dash began finding her path on the scene by taking to the stage across multiple festivals and showcases across Europe and the UK.
With Immi Dash continuing to win over fans and the industry alike with each new release, a growing number of eyes remain on this intriguing newcomer marrying sincere, contemporary songwriting with an old-school sentiment – stay tuned for more timeless vibes coming from Immi Dash.
