Heaven By Marc Jacobs' New Collection Is Inspired By 90s Pop Culture

Who wouldn't want Kirsten Dunst in "The Virgin Suicides" on a mesh top?

POSTED BY NICOLE ROGOSKY

Pop culture fanatics have no fear because Heaven by Marc Jacobs’ Fall/Winter 2021 collection is here. Ever since launching in 2020, the unisex line has focused on creating bright, graphic and gender-fluid pieces, and for its third collection, Marc Jacobs soars to new heights — taking inspiration from the dreamy haze of cult classics of the 90s and bringing back some iconic characters in the making.

Mostly inspired by the 1999 film, The Virgin Suicides, the collection features reconstructed 90s silhouettes such as mesh tops, baby tees and midi skirts as well as Gen Z-esque hoodies, sweater vests and cut-out tops. But what would a collection inspired by 90s pop culture be without featured prints of some of your favorite 90s icons?

Ranging from $25 to $375, the 90s silhouettes are pelted with stills of Kirsten Dunst starring in The Virgin Suicides directed by Sofia Coppola. In continuing with the theme of adolescence, the collection also features Garfield hoodies and tees as well as E.T.-themed accessories.

In honor of October 10, World Mental Health Day, Marc Jacobs is partnering with The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, & Transgender Community Center — donating $18 for every Just Like Life baby tee, which features graphics from The Virgin Suicides, sold.
