‘Frozen 2’ Takes $1 Billion At The Box Office

Elsa and crew are raking it in.

On Sunday it was announced by Variety that “Frozen 2” has officially taken $1 billion at the worldwide box office. Elsa and friends slid back onto the big screen on November 22 and have been raking in the dollars ever since. The new movie sees Elsa, Anna and the rest of the gang going on an adventure across Arendelle to discover the source of Elsa’s powers and is a lot darker than the original movie.

However, it seems the scarier elements have not put off fans as “Frozen 2” is the SIXTH Disney movie to pass the $1 billion mark in 2019, joining the likes of “Avengers: Endgame”, “The Lion King”, “Toy Story 4”, “Aladdin” and “Captain Marvel”.

The Original Frozen movie is still currently the highest grossing animated film of all time but didn’t reach 1 billion until 15 weeks after its release, could the sequel take over?
