Freya Dalsjø’s SS27 Collection Made Me Slow Down For A Minute

Adaptable shirting, and fluid pieces redefined understated elegance.

POSTED BY ANISSA GALVANI

Her Spring/Summer 2027 collection moved at an intentionally slow pace, with models walking almost meditatively through the space. At first it caught me off guard, but the longer I watched, the more it made sense. Without rushing from look to look, I actually found myself noticing the fabrics, the movement, and all the little details that usually disappear in a fast runway show.

These Are The Kind Of Clothes I Could Actually Live In

This season felt much softer than some of Dalsjø's previous collections. Instead of dramatic sculptural silhouettes, she focused on pieces that looked genuinely wearable without losing their quiet elegance.

I especially loved the shirting, which featured buttons running down the sleeves and across the back so each piece could be styled in different ways. It felt like a clever reminder that getting dressed doesn't always have to follow one set of rules.

There were also these beautiful fluid dresses that seemed to float as the models walked. A wispy black dress and a liquid slip silhouette completely stole my attention because they looked even better in motion than they did standing still.

Sometimes Less Really Is More

The collection leaned into an almost monastic simplicity, but it never felt plain. Everything was stripped back in a way that made the craftsmanship stand out even more.

Natural fabrics, soft tailoring, and clean lines created clothes that looked comfortable without feeling boring. Honestly, I think that's harder to achieve than making something loud.

It Reminded Me Why I Love Quiet Fashion

Freya Dalsjø has always championed slow fashion, and this collection felt like an extension of that philosophy rather than a statement about trends.

She focused on making clothes that feel timeless, easy to wear, and designed to move with the body. After watching so many collections filled with spectacle, I actually found this one incredibly refreshing.

Sometimes the most memorable runway moment isn't the loudest one. Sometimes it's simply being reminded that beautiful clothes don't have to shout.
