Fox News have confirmed that two of their journalists, Ukrainian producer Oleksandra Kuvshynova, 24, and Irish cameraman Pierre Zakrzewski, 55, have been killed in an attack in Horenka. Correspondent Benjamin Hall was also injured and remains in hospital following the attack. Fox News’ congressional correspondent Chad Pergram shared on Twitter that the CEO Suzanne Scott stated “It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we share the news this morning regarding our beloved cameraman Pierre Zakrzewski. Pierre was killed in Horenka, outside of Kyiv, Ukraine.”

This statement did not originally acknowledge the death of Oleksandra Kuvshynova but did mention Benjamin Hall’s presence at the attack stating, “Pierre was with Benjamin Hall yesterday newsgathering when their vehicle was struck by incoming fire.” However, Fox’s senior field producer Yonat Friling later tweeted a dedication to the 24-year-old journalist calling her “a beautiful brave woman” and stating that she “worked with our team for the past month and did a brilliant job. May her memory be a blessing”.
