This statement did not originally acknowledge the death of Oleksandra Kuvshynova but did mention Benjamin Hall’s presence at the attack stating, “Pierre was with Benjamin Hall yesterday newsgathering when their vehicle was struck by incoming fire.” However, Fox’s senior field producer Yonat Friling later tweeted a dedication to the 24-year-old journalist calling her “a beautiful brave woman” and stating that she “worked with our team for the past month and did a brilliant job. May her memory be a blessing”.
