Fenty’s 6-20 Collection Is Inspired By The Creativity, Hope, And spirit Of Youth
Featuring ‘90s Subculture References.
Rihanna’s latest collection speaks to the new generation and celebrates the youth. "In a time where fighting for global freedoms takes center stage, this release speaks to a generation that is a different kind of creative, and a different kind of rebellious," Fenty’s press release stated.
The newest drop is only the first of a three-part series that will start across the month of June and continue through mid-July. Each chapter of releases explores a different facet of youth, inspired by social change. Throughout the month “the release builds in color, print, momentum,” according to a statement by the singer’s brand.
For this first release, Riri’s luxury brand, Fenty, offers a selection of casual, monochrome pieces, psychedelic prints, and a lot of ‘90’s subculture references throughout the collection. Some of the pieces in the release that are straight-up-fire include grunge hoodies, formfitting asymmetric dresses, and baggy rave silhouettes.
