Lost In Candy Ken’s Paradise
Are you bored of the same old Pop music rearing its ugly head every time you turn on the radio? Then itâs time to switch over to Rap.
If youâre open minded and donât mind a bit of weird, look no further than Candy Kenâs latest EP âCandy Ken Paradise.â This montageof five numbers is Kenâs personal war on normality, not to mention a showcase for his extravagant yet nonchalant nature. Youâd do well to avoid âBasic Bitch be Quietâ if youâre easily offended.
The combination of muscles and Hello Kitty is unusual, and however abnormal he looks with those golden fake teeth itâs clear that Candy Ken just doesnât care. But why should he? He is far from the best rapper, sure, but it would seem that in his case entertainment is more important than pure talent.
You may set out with the mind-set that you donât like the guy, but youâll inevitably end up rapping along to his songs anyway. The lyrics rarely make any sense but when he throws out lines like âstop da hate and be a fan,â youâd have to be pretty heartless to ignore him.
Doubtless, âSnapchatâ is quite possibly the oddest number youâll ever hear, and across the board this EP is full of camera work that will probably leave you with a headache. Candy Ken is carving out his own niche in the world of Rap and his style, however extravagant, is as âfreshâ as it is colourful.
