Fenty Beauty Announces New Blush Collection

A cheeky new release.

POSTED BY NATASHA TURNBULL

Fenty Beauty by Rihanna has transformed the beauty market since its launch in 2017. The brand’s range of inclusive products has ensured makeup can be accessible for every skin tone. On August 5th, the brand announced its newest release – Fenty Cheeks Suede Powder Blush. The range is set to drop on August 9th, so this article will break down all you need to know.

What Makes These Blushes Special?

Fenty Beauty describes these powder blushes as having the blendability of a cream product, thanks to their rich and silky formula. The blushes are also waterproof, sweat-resistant, and long-lasting, ensuring your blush stays in place all day. They describe this formula as a “performance that demands a standing ovation.”

What also makes the formula impressive is what we have learned to love from Fenty Beauty – the color payoff. The shades have a highly impactful appearance on all skin tones with just one swipe.

The Shade Range

Each of these shades comes in a satin matte finish, except for Wattabrat and Drama Cla$$, which have an iridescent shimmer finish. Every shade contains Fenty Beauty’s signature high pigment to ensure you end your summer with a bang.

•    Bakin’ Cakes – A soft taupe shade.
•    Wattabrat – A baby pink shade.
•    Drama Cla$$ – A bright violet shade.
•    Lolly Poppy – A vivid coral shade.
•    Daiquiri Dip – A bright red-orange shade.
•    Sundress SZN – A peachy pink shade.
•    Petal Poppin’ – A warm baby pink shade.
•    Summertime Wine – A deep berry shade.

What Shade is Best for Me?

While you can choose any shade you like, Fenty Beauty has provided recommendations based on your skin tone:

•    Sundress SZN – Light
•    Bakin’ Cakes – Light Medium
•    Petal Poppin’ – Light Medium/Medium
•    Lolly Poppy – Medium
•    Daiquiri Dip – Medium Deep
•    Summertime Wine – Deep

Fenty Beauty does not specifically say what skin tone shades Wattabrat and Drama Cla$$ work best for. However, the models showcase Wattabrat being used on light to medium skin, while Drama Cla$$ is used on medium to deep skin.

What Else Should I Know?

The blushes come in square compacts – the perfect shape and size to easily dip your brush into the product for an even application. Fenty Beauty recommends applying the product with their Blush Brush 155, an angular brush with loosely packed bristles to diffuse the product across the cheeks.

Once the range drops on August 9th, you can find it at Sephora, Ulta Beauty, and the official Fenty Beauty website. The blushes cost $28.
