Fashion Fair Cosmetics Makes A Comeback

Launching new products and relaunching old classics.

POSTED BY NADIA OUALNAN

Launched in 1973, Fashion Fair Cosmetics was one of the first cosmetics brands to offer shades specifically for Black women. Black Women could rely on it for a long time to find shades that would match their skin tone.

The Fashion Fair brand filed for bankruptcy in 2016 and businesswomen Cheryl Mayberry McKissack and Desirée Rogers subsequently acquired it in 2019. Now the brand is officially making a comeback.

Initially, the brand will release lipsticks, and then the rest of the products will be available for purchase online at sephora.com and fashionfair.com.

All products in the range are expected to be complexion products available in a wide range of colours. Additionally, the brand is bringing back some of its classic lipstick shades in an updated formula.

There are very few brands of its time that have created foundations specifically for women of colour. It is so exciting to see the brand relaunched. We look forward to seeing how the brand develops.

Following a wider release on September 9, Fashion Fair Lipsticks will be available on the Fashion Fair website and at Sephora.com.
