Ellesse Redefines Italian Aesthetics

Bringing Back that Italiano Charm.

POSTED BY PHOEBE ASKER

Ellesse was born in Perugia, Italy around 60 years ago and still continue to be a leading name in Italian sportswear. They continue to be so highly regarded because they constantly bring back that premium feeling with each new drop, their aesthetic mixes sports-luxe and high fashion to the perfect degree.

Now onto decade seven of being a power-brand, they have released a strapping duo of Piazza sneakers, classified as the “Semi-Palla” pack.

Both pairs have separate color schemes but are characteristically similar, you’ll have to choose between the white-red-orange or the black-white colorway. The white-red-orange pair is said to pay homage to the clay courts they were tested on and the glorious rising sun seen from the alpine slopes (we’ll let you decide which color represents which).

The black-white pairs inspirations were kept more simplistic and the shades are said to represent ellesse. With black and white being their most used colors this pays admiration to the brand's rich history and their successes.

Both pairs of these shoes retail for $115 and will be released alongside the new capsule collection of clothing which is yet to be seen.

Ellesse is curating the stockists these items will be released through, but we know the debut will take place at Concepts on 21 June, followed by the full global rollout on 22 June.
