Ella Mai describes the experience of creating her new album as 'everything your mind could think of was going through my head, she explains, "For most of 2019, I did not have any time to be in the studio due to touring, so in 2020 when I started the album, I had to connect again to the studio". Expressing that she was finding her rhythm proved to be much more difficult the second time around. "There were days when it just wasn't working. With art when you get too in your head...and start overthinking anything you can't actually create to your full potential. So, I really had to hone it in really be like: 'calm down, relax and stop putting pressure on yourself".
The album "Heart On My Sleeve" is now available through Interscope/10 Summers and can be streamed on all streaming platforms.
