East London Is A Microcosm Of Grassroots Music Venues

It’s been a time of uncertainty for live music venues over the last couple of years. Overall, attendance at shows in grassroots venues have dropped by 23% with over 140,000 ‘no shows’ for ticket holders resulting in a 27% decline in gross income with many venues sadly on the brink of collapse. 

So, there's no better time to be supporting your local independent music venues wherever you are in the world.

GROW - LIVE JAZZ ON THE CANAL W/ STRATOS

Led by the Mercury Prize nominated Rio Kai, Stratos take us on a voyage through classic & modern Jazz every Thursday at Grow. Check it out here

CAFE OTO - Lolina & Aya

Lolina is an electronic and digital musician, also known for her past projects as Inga Copeland. She was a member of the band Hype Williams between 2009 and 2013, collaborating with Dean Blunt on music, videos and performances. More info here

IKLECTIK - VOICE(LESS) – ROSIE MIDDLETON AND ANGHARAD DAVIES

Voice(less) is a series of new works for voice, electronics and movement exploring voice loss, voicelessness and communication. The series is conceived and performed by mezzo-soprano Rosie Middleton, featuring works by Laura Bowler, Mira Calix and Esin Gunduz. Check it out here
