Dua Lipa To Make Hollywood Debut In Upcoming Thriller, Argylle
The multi-platinum singer will star alongside an A-list cast.
Singer-songwriter Dua Lipa is set to make her acting debut in the spy thriller film, Argylle. The movie is an adaptation of an unpublished novel by Ellie Conway and will be the first installment in a proposed trilogy. The plot follows the world’s greatest spy, Argylle, across the world in a thrilling adventure. The Grammy award-winning musician will perform in the feature alongside a star-studded cast including Henry Cavill, Catherine O’Hara, John Cena, Samuel L. Jackson, Bryce Dallas Howard and Sam Rockwell.
The film is due to begin shooting in August, set across multiple locations around the world, including America and London. In addition to acting, Lipa will also produce the film’s title track and original score.
The ‘Future Nostalgia’ hitmaker has previously expressed her interest in acting, saying “I think I would really like to [act], it’s something that I’m definitely up for exploring and figuring it out maybe with a small role first. I feel like I’ve become a bit more confident in myself. I’ve done a little bit here and there so ... I feel I’ve discovered the side of acting within music videos. I am quite intrigued and excited about possibly the prospect of doing something else at some point.”
