Imagine your favorite accessory, a bag? A belt? How about a dick? As silly as this may sound on text, an anonymous artist from China has been converting your favorite accessory designs into designer dicks!
Dick_Worldwide has been taking fashion and more to the next level with their designs which range from brands like Prada and Dior to Starbucks and Evian. The creator is said to be inspired by the ways that fashion can turn people “into dicks” through vanity and materialistic desires.
On a surface level some of the designs are hilarious to look at, but delving deeper into their meanings we can understand the point the artist is making. In a culture of complexities in society, if you do not have the latest drops and the freshest items of clothing, we can’t lie, people can be dicks about it.
Plus, we can’t mention the #BigDickEnergy factor. The meme came about in 2018 when the hashtag went viral on platforms like Instagram and Twitter. The definition of #BigDickEnergy is “confidence without cockiness”, and to be honest at this point, BDE completely surpasses gender barriers. People constantly say how icons like Rihanna and Cate Blanchett have BDE, in this culture, it is a vibe of knowing yourself and not caring about others opinions of you.
In the case of Dick_Worldwide, we believe the statement that’s being made here is that anyone can have #BigDickEnergy, anyone can have that confidence and this is just a physical form of it – the phallic shape is just the gimmick that gets people into it.
Dick Worldwide have their own website and store and are selling everything from prints to skate decks with the phallic imagery plastered across it. There’s even a limited edition ‘Fanny Dick’ that is up for grabs, which is an 8” penis attached to the front of a leather fanny-pack, you have to see it believe it!
Overall we’re obsessed with this account and we love the strong conversations that are happening as a result, plus some of the imagery is so imaginative it is hilarious!
