Denim Tears Teams Up With Stüssy And Our Legacy For Three-Way Collaboration

The collection highlights the ability to protest the parameters of style.

POSTED BY JANELLE SESSOMS

Streetwear brand Denim Tears has teamed up with Stüssy and Our Legacy for a triple collaboration. The collaboration pays as recognition and celebration for the originality and uniqueness that each brand has brought into the course of contemporary fashion. The authentic elements of the three labels presented a common component among them — the ability to protest the parameters of style. With inspiration from the hardcore and punk movements, founder of Denim Tears Tremaine Emory collaborated with Stüssy and Our Legacy to create a collection that stays true to Emory’s “Afro-Americana” style while still playing into the counter-culture.

The collection also shows appreciation towards each label’s respective hometown—with Denim Tears from Jamaica Queens, New York, Our Legacy from Stockholm, Sweden and Stüssy from Laguna Beach, California. The featured Type 2 Trucker Jackets and Denim Tears 501’s are embellished in its hometown and talisman crests. In addition to the hometown recognition, each item is adorned with the brand logos and motifs creating a one-of-a-kind print.

The collection will be available to shop on Sept. 9 at select chapter stores, select Dover Street Market locations and the website of Stüssy, Denim Tears and Our Legacy.
