Demi Lovato Just Announced A New Album

She’s in her dancefloor era.

Demi Lovato is done brooding. The Grammy-nominated powerhouse just revealed her ninth studio album It’s Not That Deep is dropping October 24 via DLG Recordings/Island Records, and the vibe is exactly what the title promises: no overthinking, just pure, sweaty, neon-lit fun. Executive produced by Zhone (the genius behind Kylie, Troye, and Kesha’s most addictive moments), the record leans heavy into electro-pop bliss with 11 tracks built for after-hours euphoria.

We’ve already got a taste with “Fast” and “Here All Night” — the latter a pulsing, glitter-soaked anthem that practically begs for a 2 AM spin. The Hannah Lux Davis–directed video doubles down on the chaos, showing Demi shaking off pent-up energy until freedom finally wins. It’s Lovato at her most liberated, equal parts sleek and sweaty.

“This time, I just want to have fun. I’m happy, I’m in love, and I realized it’s not that deep anymore.”

Demi’s not hiding it: this record is her manifesto for joy. “With my past eras, I often wrote cathartic music about heavy topics,” she explains. “This time, I just want to have fun. I’m happy, I’m in love, and I realized it’s not that deep anymore.” Translation: she’s swapped therapy ballads for late-night bangers — and we’re here for it.

It’s Not That Deep is shaping up to be Lovato’s return to the carefree sparkle of her early hits, only sharpened by a decade of experience and that signature vocal fire. It’s not just an album — it’s a permission slip to stop spiraling, grab a drink, and dance until sunrise.
