“Dark Sulfur”: The New Nike Dunks

A first look at the new Nike Dunk High colorway.

POSTED BY MEGAN MATTHEWS

Following on from last month’s “Team Red” release, the Dunk High has been reimagined once again—this time in “Dark Sulfur”.

Sulfur, the element which Edward Randviir, called “the “Bad Boy” of the Periodic Table” seems a fitting colorway for the dunks who are the bad boys of the shoe game.

The two-tone design features deep yellow and white leather uppers, yellow outsoles and white midsoles. The elongated swoosh is this same yellow and the mudguards, heels and collar flaps follow this “sulfur”-suit. White tongues in nylon material with yellow Nike branding bring together this futuristic reimagination of the sneaker and call to mind New York mustard and Rihanna’s iconic Met Gala cape.

Spotted by "sneaker-sleuth" @brandon1an on Twitter, the Dunks are yet to get an announced release date, but their price is set at $110. However, as the angelic counterpart to the super rare “Wu Tang” Nike Dunks, these new sneakers are sure to be a big hit with the masses.
