Dark academia is a trend is that is growing fast, with the hashtag dark academia already gaining 93.1 million views on Tik Tok. This trend is massively centred around a passion for all things classical literature and genuinely being interested in culture and art.
The aesthetic mainly consists of a preppy style- classical colours, traditional prints and styles like plaid and cable knit. With the uncertainty of how education may be affected by the pandemic, dark academia offers a form of escapism for college students everywhere.
