Lana Del Rey's Transition to Country
A Sneak Peak at Lana Del Rey's Debut Country Album - Lasso
Country is taking over, first in fashion and now the music industry, first Beyoncé, then Post Malone and back in February at a billboard event, Lana Del Rey announced her 10th studio album, whilst also making the shocking announcement that she was making the transition into, you guessed it, country.
During the announcement Lana stated “If you can’t already tell by our award winners and our performers, the music business is going country. We’re going country. It’s happening,” she said from the dais. “That’s why Jack has followed me to Muscle Shoals, Nashville, Mississippi, over the last four years.”
Jack Antanoff and Lana have paired up on her last four albums including the upcoming country album - Lasso. Antanoff is the owner of 8 Grammys and rightly so, as he’s slowly but surely become one of the most talked about producers over the last few years.
Other than knowing that Lana’s debut into the country genre will be being fine-tuned by the genius that is Jack Antonoff, we’ve also had a sneak peak at the tracklist from Genius. Song titles such as “Henry, Come On”, ”Prettiest Girl In Country”, “Hey Blue Baby” and “I Must Be Stupid for Being So Happy” are rumored to be featured in the album as well as Lana’s take on “Take Me Home Country Road”.
