Converse Launches New Collection In Collaboration With Rick Owens
Owens' new take on the design of the classic Converse sneaker.
The American fashion designer has teamed up with Converse to design a new sneaker, the TURBOBRK Chuck 70. The experimental design first debuted in Venice at Owens’ Fall/Winter 2021 show.
The design features a square toe and an extended tongue that highlights the TURBODRK branding. The shoe comes in both the Hi and Ox cut Converse is known for and will be available in classic black and a white canvas color scheme.
“I've been referencing [Converse] for years, so when they suggested a collaboration, it seemed like a good, natural thing to do," the designer told WWD back in January.
Previously to this collaboration Owens has worked with Birkenstock and Dr. Martens as well.
The shoe which comes at a retail price of $170, will be available from July 27 on Owens’ and Converse’s website.
