Checks Are A Major Summer Trend, Here’s How To Wear Them

When I was 8, I would wear a little blue and white gingham hairband as part of my school uniform. I’m not ashamed to admit I have recently bought a similar hairband to wear this summer, as part of my grown-ass adult wardrobe.
Checks are a major trend for summer 2020, whether they be picnic-blanket-Esque, cute ginghams, or oversized prints. They’re a great way to transition from your sad quarantine loungewear to fully embracing summer. They work best in colorful brights or pastels to really make a statement. For catwalk inspo, we saw tailored co-ords at Miu Miu, rainbow hues at Kate Spade New York (accessorize with gigantic leaves if you wish), and wide-leg trousers at Emilia Wickstead – teaming monochrome checks with pastels are always a good idea.
