Charli XCX: Beyond Beauty Zine For V Magazine
Taking it back to 1999.
Queen of cyber pop, Charli XCX has released her own tour zine, Beyond Beauty as a time capsule for her tour highlights for V Magazine.
For the past year, Charli XCX has released over five singles as well as opening for Taylor Swift’s iconic Reputation tour. And as you may know, being a pop icon comes with the added fun of over the top wardrobes and colorful wigs.
After relying on this, Charli XCX said finding the time for a hair routine can be quite difficult, “I’ve always just let my hair grow, and it always looked messy and sort of vague,” XCX admits. “I’ve never had, like, a haircut.” Finally taking the plunge and opting for a slick bob, her hairstyle became the inspiration behind her new beauty-centric tour zine which highlight her favorite tour looks. Her ombre bob can be seen in various up do’s complimented with heavily 90’s inspired makeup looks.
“My dad would always encourage me to be as weird as possible; he wanted me to explore everything,” Charli XCX says. “Beauty comes from within, but makeup is fun.”
