Chanel Has Just Released A New Campaign
The 11.12 bag is back on the streets of Paris.
Chanel has just launched its latest campaign titled – The CHANEL Iconic, which celebrates the 11.12 bag, as the fashion house attempts to inspire a new audience.
The campaign is set in the elegant neighbourhood of Saint-Germain-des-Prés in Paris and features five iconic models associated with Chanel – Anna Mouglalis, Rianne van Rompaey, Imaan Hammam, Louise de Chevigny and Zoé Adjani.
Shot by Inez and Vinoodh, the campaign features the accessory that has become an iconic symbol of femininity and luxury amongst the global fashion industry. The original 2.55 bag pioneered by Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel in 1955, started a revolution and left a huge mark on the brand itself. This continued into the work of Karl Lagerfeld who brought new life to the 2.55 bag into the now renowned 11.12 bag which is just as much practical with its seven pockets as it is stylish.
In a statement, Chanel argues that “the Chanel 11.12 bag is more than a classic”, instead, “it remains an icon of timeless elegance” perhaps highlighting its importance in embodying a lifestyle and aesthetic, rather than just being a purse.
