Why An $88,000 Purse Has Landed Cardi B In Hot Water With Fans

Rapper Cardi B controversially took to Twitter this week to ask her fans whether or not she should purchase a $88 thousand purse - a luxury many of us can only dream of having.

In reaction fans shared their mixed feelings towards the rappers post. Whilst many of her die-hard fans were supportive of her decision to make the very expensive purchase, some felt that she had been a little insensitive given the current climate of the coronavirus pandemic. One fan commented saying “Donate 88k to a charity for people that need help right now...”

Cardi B who never been one to shy away from criticism has since clapped back at fans saying “Definitely buying the bag now”. She then went on to explain that she had donated $2 million to charities this year and had financially aided 22 family members through the Coronavirus pandemic.

Not done talking : The rapper continued her Twitter rant and even started a “challenge” to match any charitable donations her fans had made. She says: “Any charity or foundation drop your receipts under the comment I will match what you donated and match your donation to that same charity or foundation. Lets match energy."

Despite her efforts some fans were still not convinced and her tweets were met with further scrutiny. She has since apologised for her tweets, however showed no intention of backing down from her decision to purchase the purse.
