Burglars Have Broken Into The Sims 4

Robin Banks is here to cause chaos.

Exciting news for Simmers! There’s a brand-new The Sims 4 base game update with a special feature eagerly anticipated by committed fans. The latest update includes tattoo customization, new color swatches for kitchen furniture, and clothing that mirrors The Sims 25th Birthday apparel. These features are great, but the most exciting addition to the game is one that stole the hearts of original players. For those who’ve only experienced The Sims 4, say “sul sul” to burglars!

Nearly 11 years after its release, the game is finally reintroducing the legendary burglar. This is a NPC, who has appeared in all previous versions of The Sims, with a life mission to steal your sim’s goods. EA have officially named this character Robin Banks and marked her as a sim to watch out for.

While your sims sleep, Robin will randomly appear on the lot, break into their home, and take as many high-value items as possible. However, there are a few ways your sims can step up and stop the crime:

Call the Police

Use your sim’s phone to call the police for help. You can do this without the Get To Work expansion pack.

Fight the Burglar

Is your sim feeling brave? They can defend their home by fighting the burglar! The higher your sim’s fitness skills, the better chance they will win.

Purchase the “Alertz Burglar Alarm”

Enter build mode to buy an alarm that will be set off by suspicious intruders. When Robin arrives, your sims will wake up,  panic (obviously), and prepare to stop the criminal. Sims with high handiness skills can upgrade the alarm to improve efficiency, zap thieves, and instantly call the police.

Pay attention to how different sims interact with the burglar. Townies or sims with certain characteristics react differently to the event, making each burglary unique. For instance, teen sims may take a selfie with Robin Banks before running to safety — anything for a good Simstagram story.

The burglary feature even got its trailer! Check it out to gain a better idea of what’s coming, or jump straight into The Sims 4 and start playing.

If you prefer to play a peaceful Sims world, you can disable the burglar feature in your settings. But, if you fancy some exciting gameplay, brace your sims for complete chaos.
