The Veneto region is known for being home to Venice, the floating city, the birthplace of Italian fashion brand Bottega Veneta. It makes sense for the brand to reveal its latest campaign billboard in the city coinciding with, the world’s most famous art exhibition, the Venice Biennale. Matthieu Blazy’s first campaign as creative director for the brand stars model Dara Gueye who was photographed by, former model turned photographer, Malick Bodian.

The unveiling of the Fall 22 campaign is part of a greater series of events the brand has instigated in Venice. The first of the series of events was a partnership with Palazzo Grassi Punta della Dogana Pinault Collection to support Dancing Studies, a select set of performances by choreographer William Forsythe, Lenio Kaklea, Pam Tanowitz and Ralph Lemon. Matthieu Blazy designed the costumes for these performances that took place on Thursday 21st April.

The second event was the creation of the fifteen Cabat bag capsule collection inspired by Olivetti typewriters. The collection is sold exclusively at the Venice store the third event was the campaign being revealed with the billboard placement that will last from the 15th of April until the 30th.

The fourth, and final, iteration of events is set for July with the announcement of Bottega Veneta partnering with Biennale di Danza for the second year in a row. This partnership helps to fund the Biennale College Danza which supports emerging talents.
