Billie Eilish Is The Newest Face Of Gucci’s Eyewear Campaign

Starring a Billie Eilish clone.


Artist and Grammy award winner Billie Eilish is the fresh face for Gucci’s latest eyewear campaign. The Hollywood glam inspired campaign captures Eilish lounging in vintage cars showcasing the latest eye frames from the Gucci Eyewear collection. Alongside the campaign shoots is a video that blends a retro style mood with modern sophistication. A nod to film noir, Eilish is seen driving through the Hollywood Hills in a baby blue car as a mysterious fuschia automobile is following her around. Seconds later it’s revealed that the person following her is a love interest that turns out to be herself as both Eilish’s look at each other and say “I love you.” 

The two featured eye frames are a pair of black caravan sunglasses with a gold Gucci logo inscripted on the side and a pair of pink cat eye frames that mirrors the retro mood of the campaign. Photographed by Harley Weir, envisioned by Alessando Michele and directed by Lina Kutsovskaya, the cinematic mood of the film and the shoot’s suspenseful and dreamlike imagery results in an campaign that is very intriguing and alluring. Michele being inspired by the cinema isn’t anything new for Gucci considering the recent “Exquisite Gucci” campaign that paid homage to Stanley Kubrick films.

This is also not Eilish’s first time working with the luxury brand. She has consistently represented Gucci apparel on the red carpet and even donned a custom upcycled Gucci dress for the 2022 Met Gala. This does mark her first time being the face of a Gucci campaign, officially welcoming her into the Gucci family.
