Bethany Williams SS22 Collection
The London-based designer collaborates with artist Melissa Kitty Jarram.
Bethany Williams' works are centered on social issues, including the environment, and the communities. In her latest collection, the London-based designer collaborated with artist Melissa Kitty Jarram on a film made by Olivia Lifungula, All Our Stories. It is inspired based on folklore passed through generations, from childhood to adulthood. Not only that, but it is also a support for the Magpie Project, which is a charity supporting homeless women and children, including those who at risk of being homeless.
With a bright pop of color combination, the designs reflect Bethany's kindness of giving back and the childlike innocence fitting the project's concept. She believes a story-telling persuasion contains the moral "always came to kindness, care and respect for one another and how these traits, whilst still important in childhood, have just as much meaning in adult life"
As for the future, Bethany hopes more designers will also help to change things for the better.
