Coachella Has Never Looked This Good

Even if you weren’t there, the outfits were impossible to miss.

Festival season is officially at its peak. This year, everyone stepped it up, making this the best-dressed Coachella to date. I would do anything to be strutting the festival grounds of Coachella Valley in a microshort ensemble–who cares if I have to walk 50,000 steps a day and lose my voice to the headliners and dust-storms.

For those of us who couldn’t attend Bieberchella this year, we can at least dream we did.

Keeping with the bohemian aesthetic of the desert, this year’s outfits channel Coachella circa 2016’s flower-crown vibes in an entirely modern and more sophisticated way. Boho-chic has been refined: tops are sheer and sparkly, shorts are micro, and boots and bags are fringed. Earthy neutrals have taken over, but are made festive with intricate beadwork and metallic threading.

Festival-goers are seriously getting inventive this year. I’ve seen belts incorporated as waist-cinchers between tiny bra tops and low-waist bottoms, and even baggy pants with the belts as tops. Flowy cover-up dresses have also been making a statement this year, making crochet and raffia Coachella staples.

If I were at Coachella this year, I’d be wearing those statement belts, adding fringe to everything, and going all in with textures. Whether it’s a glam Sabrina-inspired look, a baggy Bieber fit, or classic boho, Coachella is at its finest.
