Balenciaga's Instagram is Back
View old posts again after months of archiving.
Following several months of archived social media posts, Balenciaga has brought back its Instagram feed. The more recent posts were archived due to 2022 campaign controversies, but Balenciaga has been known to use this strategy before when transitioning between seasons.
Thirty-six images originally posted between 2018 and 2021 have just been unarchived, without any comment from the brand. Images from more recent months are still notably absent. Is this the sign of a brand reset, the start of a new era for Balenciaga with their Fall/Winter 2023 collection? We’re intrigued to see their approach to social media, and whether they’ll stick to their previous strategy of humorous and surreal images or go for a new strategy entirely.
