LVMH Announces 2023 Prize Finalists
Highlighting young designers who represent the future of fashion.
Luxury conglomerate LVMH has just announced the nine finalists for the LVMH Prize and the Karl Lagerfeld prize. The prize aims to highlight rising stars in the fashion world, and is awarded to a young designer who has shown unique talent and creativity. Winners receive a mentorship and endowment from LVMH, giving them the resources to bring their ideas into the world.
The 2023 finalists were chosen from a pool of 22 semifinalists, and all bring something original to the current fashion landscape. They are Aaron Esh, Bettter by Julia Pelipas, Burc Akyol, Diatoma by Rachel Scott, Luar by Raul Lopez, Magliano by Luca Magliano, Paolina Russo, Quira by Veronica Leonie, and Setchu by Satoshi Kuwata. Many designers focus on crafting original silhouettes, designing genderless pieces, and connecting their clothing to their cultural roots.
The chosen winner will be announced on June 7, and we’re looking forward to seeing who takes the prize. Regardless of the outcome, make sure to keep an eye on all these exciting new designers.
