Azealia Banks isn’t a musician that is particularly concerned with hurting people’s feelings. Her recent IG post over the weekend highlighting her favorite tracks from the past decade was proof of this.
The singer, who has notoriously had a lot to say about some of the artists she included in her list, curated her own personal ranking of her 25 favorite songs from 2010 until now. Banks posted her list completely unprompted on Saturday with the caption: “My top 25 songs by women 2010-2020.” Drop. The. Mic.
Surprisingly or maybe not, (considering her propensity for honesty) Azealia pushed aside any beef with Cardi B, T Swift, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga and Nicki Minaj, who all made her coveted selection.
We don’t know about you guys, but we’re forever in debt to Azealia for curating this female-only playlist/masterpiece. Already counting down the days until our next night out with the girls so that we can play this on repeat. #BOYBYE
