Axel Arigato X Mulberry
The Swedish brand Axel Arigato teams up with Mulberry for a new collection.
The new collaborative capsule – launching on April 17th, Swedish lifestyle label Axel Arigato joins forces with British luxury brand Mulberry for an exclusive collection of unisex ready-to-wear, bags, footwear, and accessories. The limited-edition capsule marries Axel Arigato’s effortless Scandinavian minimalism and Mulberry’s timeless British aesthetic, in a wear-forever collaboration that celebrates both brands’ shared values of community and engagement with contemporary culture.
Exploring Mulberry’s unique place in British fashion history, the starting point for the 35-piece collection was a deep dive into the Mulberry archives, and an exploration of memorable pop culture moments from the past 50 years.
The range of fashion-forward leather bags are inspired by three archive Mulberry designs. The bags are available in a selection of bold colourways, from vibrant emerald green and bright azure blue to monochrome and classic black. Split-colour trenches, relaxed-fit denim and embroidered varsity jackets appear in sophisticated, neutral tones. The capsule also includes Axel Arigato’s Area Sneaker, a silhouette that has been inspired by vintage basketball references. For the collaboration the Area sneaker is adorned with Mulberry’s iconic Postman’s lock and custom strap – which is a first for the Axel Arigato brand.
Featured throughout the capsule is a collaborative badge that combines Mulberry’s tree emblem and Axel Arigato’s insignia, to create a crest that reflects the collaboration’s collegiate and community spirit.
The collection adheres to both Mulberry’s Made to Last ethos and Axel Arigato’s responsible design approach. All bags are produced in the UK at Mulberry’s carbon-neutral Somerset factories with environmentally accredited leather; all footwear is handmade in Portugal from a combination of leather and polyester produced using recycled PET bottles; and all cotton used is Global Organic Textile (GOT)-certified.
