Attend This Year Glastonbury Music Festival Virtually
The virtual exhibitor will mark the festivals 50th anniversary.
In the light of the Coronavirus pandemic many music concerts and festivals have had to be canceled this year. Instead the V&A Museum has decided to launch a virtual exhibition which will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Glastonbury Music Festival.
The Glastonbury Festival is a cultural event and was supposed to take place this week, however with the pandemic not slowing down anytime soon organisers have now decided to take things virtual. With the festival moved online ‘attendees’ will be able to experience a visual evolution of the legendary festival through archival photographs, memorabilia, and videos. The museum is also requesting previous attendees to share their personal memories of the festival in order to help the V&A project map the history of the event.
To take part in the festival head over to the V&A museum and experience the rich history of the event through the “The Glastonbury Festival Archive” exhibition. If you have been part of this iconic festival in the past, share your memories by emailing glastonbury@vam.ac.uk and to help create history.
