Japanese sneaker brand, ASICS Sportstyle auctions off limited edition shoe for a good cause.
In collaboration with Berlin-based artist, Dennis Buck, the two have come together to support Deutsche Depressionshilfe (a German depression foundation).
The limited-edition sneaker includes a white, silver and gold colorway in ASICS SportStyle's iconic silhouette, the GEL-KAYANO 14, and features Buck's signature material, silicone.
Close to Dennis' heart, the collaboration allows him to remise about his past, “My dad, a construction worker, used to work on ASICS running shoes, working with his material on a ‘dad’ sneaker is the most dad appreciation I could think of" he says.
Starting from June 25th, the sneakers will be sold through Voo Store via an online raffle.
Alongside the raffle, ASICS has partnered with the theme of Crafts for Minds (CFM), which places a focus on craftsmanship and detail put into making long-lasting products.
As a result, ASICS is extending their activation to London and Amsterdam with local artists.
All earnings from the artist partnerships will be donated to charitable institutions in Europe addressing mental health.
